Our Technology

UnblockPDF processes your files directly in your web browser using modern client-side technologies. When you merge, split, compress, convert, rotate, or edit a PDF, the file never leaves your device. All computation happens locally, which means faster processing, complete privacy, and full offline capability for most tools. For features that inherently require server interaction — such as eSignature workflows and Document Approval processes where multiple parties collaborate on a document — files are temporarily stored on servers located in Germany and encrypted at rest using AES-256. These files are automatically deleted after the workflow completes. We are transparent about which tools run locally and which require server processing, so you always know where your data is.
