Introduction

Welcome to UnblockPDF. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UnblockPDF website and services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Use of Service

UnblockPDF provides free online PDF processing tools, including but not limited to merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, eSignature, and document approval services. Most PDF tools operate entirely within your browser and do not require file uploads. Server-based features (eSignature, Approval) require an account and involve temporary server-side file storage. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the service.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use UnblockPDF only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not: upload, process, or distribute files containing malware, viruses, or other harmful code; use the service to process documents containing illegal content, including but not limited to child exploitation material, content that promotes violence, or content that violates applicable laws; attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our service; use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use; interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its related systems; use the service to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms.

Account Responsibilities

If you create an account with UnblockPDF, you are responsible for: maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, all activities that occur under your account, providing accurate and complete registration information, and notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for an extended period.

Intellectual Property

The UnblockPDF service, including its design, code, logos, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of all documents you upload and process through our service. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited, temporary license to process your files solely for the purpose of providing the requested service. This license terminates immediately upon completion of the processing operation or deletion of the file.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, UnblockPDF and its operators shall not be liable for: any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities; any damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; any interruption or cessation of the service; or any errors or inaccuracies in the processing results. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater. You acknowledge that you maintain backup copies of all important files and that you use the service at your own risk.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service immediately, without prior notice, if: you breach any provision of these Terms; we are required to do so by law; or we decide to discontinue the service. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the service.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of our service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Germany. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
